Storyline:

In the movie "Thunivu 2023," the story revolves around a gripping heist at "Your Bank," one of Chennai's largest privately-owned banks. Radha, a notorious gangster, and his crew plan this audacious robbery with the clandestine support of ACP Ramachandran. Their target: a staggering ₹500 crore and their chosen date coincides with the Governor's party event at his residence on May 21st.

However, as the heist unfolds, Radha and his gang are in for a shocking surprise. The bank has already been taken over by a mysterious figure known as Michael Jackson, along with his partner Kanmani. Tensions rise when commandos enter the bank, only to be defeated.

Intriguingly, Jackson proposes a deal to Radha: help him steal ₹5000 crores, and in return, they'll share in the spoils. Radha reluctantly agrees, but things take a dark turn when they discover the bank's vault contains only ₹1,510 crores. In desperation, they consider eliminating Jackson, but their efforts are thwarted.

Jackson, using a voice changer that mimics Michael Jackson, appoints a police constable named Antony (Anto) as the negotiator, much to Ramachandran's frustration. He tricks the media and the public into believing he is the real Michael Jackson. Ramachandran attempts to assassinate Jackson with a sniper, leading to a car explosion. The media catches wind of these events, prompting City Commissioner Dayalan to intervene.

While investigating the bank, Jackson stumbles upon hidden explosives disguised as fire extinguishers and realizes that a third team has infiltrated the bank, unbeknownst to him. The police track a van being guided by Kanmani, but she evades them, eliminating Ramachandran's men and revealing his involvement in the heist to Dayalan.

Ramachandran confesses to his role in the heist, which he planned alongside his childhood friend Shyam, the Tamil Nadu Branch Head of Your Bank. Initially, Ramachandran had tried to recruit Jackson, known as "Dark Devil," for the job, but he declined. Instead, he hired Radha's gang without revealing that they would be eliminated after the heist. Radha and his gang join forces with Dark Devil after hearing Ramachandran's confession, which they overhear through bugs planted at Dayalan's base.

Shyam goes on the run as the police close in on him but is captured by Kanmani. Meanwhile, Dayalan discovers that Valavan was responsible for planting explosives in the drainage system and begins searching for him. He also learns that Dark Devil and his team had actually perished a few months prior. Ramachandran's attempt to prove Dark Devil's existence results in his own death when a dummy bomb explodes, turning out to be real.

Dark Devil discovers that ₹25,000 crores are available in the bank. He demands a meeting with Krish, the chairman of Your Bank, to negotiate. However, a third team, composed of some of the bank's staff, launches an attack on Radha and his crew in the vault before capturing Dark Devil. Krish reveals that he had hired this third team and instructs them to destroy the bank's chest with explosives, hostages inside. Krish forces Dark Devil to reveal his identity and backstory, including a tragic event in Araku Valley, where some of his team members were killed.

After this revelation, Dark Devil defeats Krish and his team, forcing Krish to expose his financial scam and atrocities to the public. Krish attempts to frame Dark Devil as a terrorist, but Dayalan discovers the truth and suspends him. However, Krish falsely implicates Dark Devil and his team in terrorism.

During the final confrontation, Dark Devil, Kanmani, and their team make a daring escape with the help of the public, using a fire truck loaded with explosives. Radha's gang also escapes amid the chaos. A dramatic chase ensues, resulting in a shoot-out between Dark Devil's team and the authorities. In the end, Dark Devil and Kanmani fake their deaths and escape via sea, settling in international waters. The media ultimately broadcasts the evidence Dark Devil gathered, and Dayalan's suspension is lifted.

In the movie's climax, Dark Devil and Kanmani successfully secure the ₹25,000 crores they sought to expose.
